In a horrific incident, the human remains of two children were found in bags purchased as part of an auction of abandoned goods in a storage unit south of Auckland, New Zealand.
In the details, the New Zealand News Agency reported, that Detective Tufilao Famanuya Vailoa confirmed that the two bodies that were found inside bags in a property in Manuriwa on August 11, belong to two primary school-age children.

He added that initial indications indicate that the two children may have died many years ago, before their bodies were found, indicating that the police are still in the early stages of the investigation.
He continued that the lines of investigation are positive with regard to renting the storage unit.
The police vow to reveal the circumstances
He also revealed that the ages of the two children ranged between 5 and 10 years, stressing that the police were working to determine when and where they died.
“What I can say is that we are making very good progress in studying DNA,” he said.
It is noteworthy that the police confirmed that they are doing their best to conclude the investigation and find out what happened to these young children, amid the authorities’ assurance that the investigations are in full swing.
