Racing crosses the transfer market prior to the start of the Argentine First Division Tournament. The Academy will face Hurricane at the Cylinder this Saturday. In this context, Fernando Gago referred to the potential reinforcements and the possible continuity of Javier Correa in Racing. He also mentioned the surnames that were mentioned in the last few hours. About this he warned that they will not incorporate players for the sole fact of accumulating names in the squad.
“I tell Javier until the end of the month, he will play until June 30”Gago said before the possibility that Correa might leave earlier than expected in case his continuity is not closed. On that, the Racing technician clarified what his claims are regarding the forward’s future. “I have the intention that he stay, I already told him and the leaders”, said. Although he clarified that in the event that the former Colón does not continue, another name will have to be found to replace him: “We will see what possibilities there are to incorporate or for Javier to stay”.
It should be noted that Correa has a contract with the club until the end of June and following that period he must return to Santos Laguna, owner of his pass, unless the Academy reaches an agreement with the Mexican entity. In the event that Correa does not continue, Gago has already made it clear that Racing will have to go out to the transfer market to look for reinforcements there.
Gago warned that Racing will not bring reinforcements to bring
“We will see what option we think to give the squad more hierarchy, I don’t want to bring just to bring”Fernando Gago also said thinking regarding the names that might reach Racing in this market as reinforcements, although he clarified that he prefers quality over quantity: “I want to look for something that empowers us and lifts us up from the hierarchy, the personality and the game. Logically, the negotiations are handled by the president and from that we will see what is best for the club “
The Racing technician was also consulted by the names that currently revolve around the Academy pass market, such as Almendra, Rotondi and Carbonero, among others. Given these possibilities, Gago was forceful: “I didn’t talk to any of them. It’s going to depend a lot on the contractual side, on what the club decides, on what I want and on seeing what positions we need to reinforce to give a jump in the hierarchy to a squad that’s doing very well”.
So far the Racing reinforcements are Emiliano Vecchiowho arrived free following passing through Rosario Central, and Nicholas Oroz who returned to the club at the request of Fernando Gago, following a series of loans. The last of them, in the Volos of Greek football. The possibility for more reinforcements to arrive is open. The Academy coach has already warned that he is looking for hierarchy and there are several names in Racing’s orbit that might meet this requirement.
