Germany’s best-known emigrants are returning early next year with their docu-soap “Welcome to the Reimanns”. But Konny and Manu don’t stay up at their beach house any longer Clothes tinkering around or optimizing the pool landscape on Conny Island III or just having fun with the grandchildren. The suitcases are packed and we set off on a journey.
In the new episodes, the Reimanns take their fans on vacation through 17 states in the USA. In four weeks, the two want to cover around 8,000 kilometers. The holiday is an old dream for both of them, which is finally coming true. Her “recreation program” includes the longest zipline in the USA at dizzying heights, the wettest hiking trail between Canada and the USA at the foot of Niagara Falls and a walk on the wings of a flying airplane – as a very special birthday present for Konny.
“The Reimanns” have been on TV for almost 20 years
In 2004 Konny and Manu Reimann moved to America as a newly married couple with their two children Janina and Jason. In Texas, the four began their new life in “Konny Island II”, a house with a large lighthouse. Twelve years later, the Reimanns decided that the journey did not end there. In “Welcome to the Reimanns” they give an insight into their life on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, where “Konny Island III” has been in the making for seven years.
Whether Hawaii is their last emigration station cannot be said with certainty. In an Instagram video on the occasion of her seventh anniversary in Hawaii, Manu greeted her fans with the words “aloha, we’ve been in Hawaii for seven years now.” Konny’s telling comment: “And who knows, in seven more years we might be somewhere else.”
“Welcome to the Reimanns” from January 8, 2023 every Sunday at 8:15 p.m. on Kabel Eins and from December 25, 2022 exclusively in advance on Joyn PLUS+.
