The referee correctly did not appoint a penalty in favor of Zenit in the match with Krylia, according to the ESC RFU – Football

Decision not to award a penalty to “Zenith” in a match with “Wings of the Soviets” (1:1) was recognized as correct.

Zenit appealed to the commission with a request to evaluate the work of the referee Anton Frolov in the episode with the non-assignment of a 11-meter free kick to the goal “Wings of the Soviets” in the 9th minute of the match.

Commission decision:

The referee did not correctly assign a 11-meter kick to the goal of the Krylya Sovetov team in the game episode at the 9th minute of the match.

The decision of the ESC was motivated by the fact that the defending player of the Krylya Sovetov team Alexander Soldatenkov in single combat with an attacking player of the Zenit team Yuri Alberto in his own penalty area, he initially used a shoulder-to-shoulder push, observing the conditions for a proper push, namely that the ball was at playing distance, the player had eye contact with the ball and fought for it, and the combat was not of a rough nature, but then his shoulder slipped into chest area due to the fact that the attacking player turned his body.

The commission supports the decision of the referee to continue the game in this game moment, ”the RFU ESC decision says.
