The recovery of local roads in Ñeembucú began

Asunción, IP Agency.- Teams from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) resumed activities to recover the passability of local and rural roads in the department of Ñeembucú.

According to the MOPC report, among the tasks undertaken, we can mention the profiling of the platform, potholes and the cleaning of water channels so that the water drains easily and does not flood the roads, leaving the population of Neembuco helpless.

In fact, road crews are constantly carrying out this type of repair, considering that this area of the country is one of the most affected by the effects of water, which leaves its roads very deteriorated and, with that, thousands of compatriots cut off from communication.

One of the sections whose passability was restored is the one that connects Pilar with the Boquerón area. There, the teams proceeded to carry out profiling and patching work on the platform on gravel.

Likewise, the interconnected roads between the towns of Villalbín, Desmochados, Islerías and the Isla Umbú area were profiled.

Finally, through joint work between the Government of the 12th department and the support of the Army Engineering Command, the water channels are also being cleaned in the Jhu Island area so that the large accumulation of water can lower its level.

The interventions will continue throughout the week, prioritizing those critical places with the aim of recovering as soon as possible these roads that serve as a connection to the different communities in the south of the country.
