the recognition of producers and workers filled the main stage with emotion

“We are here to honor those who enhance fruit growing”said the mayor María Emilia Soria when leading the recognition ceremony for the true protagonists of fruit growing in Roca.

The mayor was accompanied by his brother and Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the Nation, Martín Soria, and municipal officials, who delivered the plaques to the neighbors who made their contribution to the fruit-growing activity in recent years.

“None of them would ever leave the farm…they are as passionate as we are”said Soria on the main stage of the property located next to National Route 22.

The public dismissed the workers and promoters of the fruit industry with a loud applause.

Who were recognized?


Enrique Inglera: At the age of 17 he began working as a fruit worker, working for 40 years at the Fruempac firm, specializing in the production of organic fruit. He was postulated, by his own colleagues.

Aldo Segatori: Agricultural Engineer, he worked uninterruptedly for 43 years at NTA Alto Valle. Advising producers on technological innovations in production. He also collaborated with the training of the Municipal USEP.

Enrique Ramos: Agricultural Engineer, specialized in fruti horti viti viniculture. He worked all his life in private activity. He participated in the College of Agricultural Engineers. As President of Sepia and Collaborator in the INTA Alto Valle Cooperator.

Juan Nolting: Agricultural engineer. He is recognized for his contribution and performance in INTA. As an extension agent, he led teams that brought advanced technology and knowledge to the production sector.

Jesus Vargas: fruit worker. He worked in various firms in the region, until his recent retirement. He has extensive experience working on the farm, which he considers part of his life.

Jorge Simón: he has been part of the Cesar Zanellato firm for 40 years, working in the sale of supplies and tools. Recognized for its excellent and reliable service to producers in the area.

Manuel Oscar Peralta: works at Kleppe as a general laborer. He was nominated by his colleagues from the UATRE union. Since he was a child, he has been working on farms, first in vineyards, and then in fruit growing.

Clara Ines Tropan: Rural worker. She began working at the age of 20 on the farms with various tasks: pruning, thinning, harvesting, and quality control. She works for the Zetone firm. She was proposed for this recognition by her UATRE classmates.

Verónica Sepúlveda: theBrera de la Fruta, has worked in the Primera Cooperativa for more than 40 years, packing a large part of his career and currently a fruit sorter. She was nominated by her colleagues and work supervisors.

Esteban Arriagada: farm manager at Agro Roca, performing in different tasks, always in the same company, whom he appreciates for his human warmth

Carlos Yves Desilles: since 1973 he has been the field manager for the firm Agro Roca. He studied in France specializing in fruit growing. He coordinates all the tasks of the chakras. His motto is “plants are living beings and as such, they deserve care and affection”. He was postulated by the same firm Agro Roca.

Blanca Laino: He was born on the same farm where he lives and manages the production of apples, pears and mushrooms and receives tourists who visit his farm and learn regarding the activity thanks to his openness and good disposition.
