After more than three hours of negotiations with the police and a psychologist sent by the club management, the player trained at SM Caen returned on his own around 2 p.m., as indicated by France Bleu Azur, and was taken care of by the emergency services present on site. The firefighters ensured the transfer of the former Lokomotiv Moscow player. Alexis Beka Beka’s entourage provided information on the reasons for this suicide attempt.

The real reasons for Alexis Beka Beka’s suicide attempt

Early this morning, Var-Matin reported that Alexis Beka Beka’s decision to commit suicide was linked to a romantic breakup. However, the player’s entourage, interviewed by France Bleu, indicated that this situation was rather due to the player’s overall discomfort, and not to sentimental disappointment. The player, originally from Paris, was in danger around 100 meters from the ground, on the emergency lane of the A8 motorway. Two gendarmerie negotiators began discussions with him to bring him back to his senses.

A psychologist from OGC Nice was also on site. The situation lasted several hours, and to ensure the smooth running of the rescue operation, Vinci Autoroutes closed the right lane and marked the axis, causing significant disruptions on the A8, with a traffic jam of approximately 6 kilometers. The club has decided to cancel all its media operations planned for this Friday, including the pre-match press conference of coach Francesco Farioli and a player of the team, two days before the reception of the Brest Stadium.
