The Realme 9i 5G is coming to France and it might surprise you

Realme continues to expand its catalog with the launch of the 9i 5G in France. In addition to its contained price, this smartphone surprises with its performance and aesthetics.

Announced just a few weeks ago, the Realme 9i 5G finally packs its bags in France. The Chinese brand places its pawns in France with a strategy reminiscent of Xiaomi. Like its compatriot, Realme puts forward the quality-price ratio to seduce and it is not this 9i 5G which will contradict us. To those who fear the arrival of yet another entry-level model, Realme responds by emphasizing performance, finesse and design.

This Realme 9i 5G looks a lot like the C35 in terms of design, except that it opts for a finish close to the texture of a… CD. The brand is in fact inspired by the technology of the emblematic Compact Disc, with a light reflected by the concentric rays that start from the photo block. The latter replaces the central part of the CD and these plays of light recall those of the Realme 9 Pro+.

An astonishing choice on the part of the manufacturer, but which allows the 9i 5G to stand out a little from the competition. The device also has a 8.1mm thickfor a total weight of 187 grams.

A CD-inspired design that hides a Dimensity 810

Behind this eye-catching style, Realme also wants to catch the eye with the technical sheet of its new smartphone. It has a 6.6 inch screen displaying in Full HD+ (2,408 x 1,080 pixels) and refreshed at 90 Hz. However, the use of a from the IPS LCD remember that this is an entry-level device. Under the hood, it’s more promising with the presence of a chip MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G flanked by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This 5G compatible SoC uses a processor engraved in 6 nm, with a frequency of up to 2.4 GHz. The manufacturer evokes a score of 385,373 on AnTuTu benchmark. On a daily basis, we can expect it to be fast enough for the most common uses. At the beginning of the year, we had already been able to see this chip at work in the Little M4 Pro.

Like other models, 9i 5G owners can use virtual RAM up to 5GB to be more comfortable. A microSD card slot leaves the possibility of increasing the amount of storage. This will be used in particular to store the photos and videos taken using the triple camera located on the back. The smartphone can count on a 50 megapixel main sensor and two more anecdotal modules of 2 megapixels each. It is above all the wide-angle that it will be necessary to concentrate, as well as on the 8 megapixel selfie sensor.

Regarding autonomy, there is a 5000mAh battery which promises “up to 35 days on standby”. In reality, this does not mean much; but we can hope for a comfortable autonomy given the rest of the technical sheet. It will be necessary make do with an 18 W charge and allow several hours for a full charge.

Finally, the Realme 9i 5G is equipped with Hi-Res speakers and runs Android 12 with the Realme UI 3.0 overlay.
