The RAM capacity of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models has been revealed

iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 Pro models will ship with 6GB of RAM, according to Xcode 14 beta. Apple unveiled its latest iPhone 14 series smartphones at Far Out event on September 7. The recently launched range includes iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 models.

As expected, iPhones took center stage at the recently concluded September event. Despite spending a lot of time introducing the iPhone 14 lineup, Apple didn’t reveal any features like battery capacity, fast charging, and RAM. However, a Report By MacRumors revealed one of the main features of the new iPhone models.

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models RAM capacity

According to MacRumors, the new version of Xcode 14 beta includes a file with RAM details. For those unaware, Xcode hints at an IDE from Apple that’s useful for developing tvOS, watchOS, iPadOS, iOS, and macOS. According to the file discovered in the latest beta version of Xcode, the iPhone 14 series models will come with 6GB of RAM.

To summarize, the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini offer 4GB of RAM. Likewise, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models come with 6GB of RAM. Interestingly, Apple has not increased the capacity of the Pro models. Instead, the company has increased the capacity of the Vanilla and Plus models. Also, the new iPhone 14 supports eSIM connectivity, which will likely pose a challenge to most carriers.

iPhone 14 Pro Max Features

Meanwhile, details of the RAM standard are still scarce. However, previous leaks indicate that the new models will feature LPDDR5 RAM. Notably, the iPhone 14 Pro Max recently passed through the benchmark website Geekbench. The device scored 1,882 in the single-core and 5,290 in the multi-core tests. Under the hood, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max pack the latest A16 Bionic chip.

However, the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus use the older A15 Bionic chip for power draw. Both the newer and the newer SoC have six cores. These include two performance and four efficiency cores. iPhone 14 series models offer new features like satellite calling, but they lack some basic features. For example, iPhone 14 series phones do not support WiFi 6E standards.
