“The Queen of Hiking” died after falling 200 meters from a California mountain

The Spanish athlete Crystal Paula Gonzalezknown as the “Queen of Hiking”, died in an accident while trying to climb Mount Baldy, located in Los Angeles, California.

The 56-year-old woman slipped on the snow in the area and fell down a ravine when she was recording a video to post on her social networks. According to information from the North American media, González’s body rolled regarding 200 meters.

Some people who accompanied her tried to help her and contacted relief agencies through a GPS device. However, the woman arrived lifeless at the nearest hospital in the county of San Bernandino.

“The hiker was on a steep, icy hillside, surrounded by numerous hikers who were helpful in any way they might,” authorities said in a report.

González, who had 4 children, was recognized on social networks for sharing videos in which she showed her exploits as a walker. This is how she earned recognition from the community and they began to call her “The Queen of Hiking”.

After his death was confirmed, one of his daughters asked for financial help in networks to be able to cover the funeral expenses. Raised the money for the app GoFundMe.
