Elaf from London: A British spokesman announced that Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday met her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Megan, for the first time since they gave up their royal role more than two years ago.

A royal spokesman confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also met Prince Charles, the Crown Prince, on their way to participate in the Invictus Games, which will be held in the Netherlands on Sunday.

Prince Harry established the games to help rehabilitate wounded and sick military and veterans from around the world.

Earlier on Thursday, Buckingham Palace said the Queen would not attend the traditional Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. Her Majesty, who is due to celebrate her 96th birthday next week, has been experiencing mobility issues.

Harry visited the United Kingdom following missing the memorial service for the Duke of Edinburgh in London last month. His spokesperson confirmed earlier in March that he would miss his grandfather’s service, but hoped to visit the Queen soon.

lawsuit

It is noteworthy that the second son of the heir to the throne, Prince Harry, had filed a lawsuit once morest the Ministry of the Interior following he was told that he would no longer receive the same degree of personal protection when visiting from the United States, despite offering to pay for it himself.

Harry and Meghan moved to California following stepping down from their royal duties in January 2020. The prince wants to bring his two children, two-year-old Archie and 10-month-old Lilibet, to visit the UK, but he and his family are “unable to return to the kingdom and he needs to… Security protection “because the prince may be a very dangerous security risk,” his legal representative said.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, last appeared in the UK for the Commonwealth Day Service in March 2020 while the Duke was in the UK to unveil a statue of his mother Diana, Princess of Wales, in July last year.
