The Qatari Prime Minister and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Finance agree on investments of $5 billion

Today, Tuesday, in Cairo, a meeting was held between the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance of the State of Qatar, and Ambassador Salem Bin Mubarak Al Shafi, Qatari Ambassador to Cairo, and in the presence of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, and a number of Egyptian and Qatari officials.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between them in various fields.

The two sides take this occasion to commend the step of forming a joint higher committee headed by the foreign ministers of the two brotherly countries, with the aim of continuous consultation and strengthening cooperation and coordination in all fields.

Within the framework of enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the two brotherly countries, the two sides refer to the agreement on a set of investments and partnerships in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with a total value of $5 billion in the coming period.
