The punishment given to my brother is very severe: Kamran Akmal

Reacting to Umar Akmal being sentenced to three years by the Pakistan Cricket Board, wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal says that the punishment given to my brother is very severe.

Talking to private TV, Kamran Akmal further said that he will go to every platform for justice, he will definitely use the right of appeal.

The wicketkeeper-batsman said that in the past there are examples of lesser punishments for similar violations, but Umar Akmal was given such a severe punishment, which is a cause of surprise for him.

He further said that if the basis on which Umar Akmal was suspended is correct and the board has solid evidence, then he should have been banned for life.

He said that Umar Akmal and us have been abused a lot by imposing a three-year ban, but we cannot fight and can only appeal against this decision.
