The PSOE of Burgos and Castilla y León are very attentive to the movements of the Ministry of Education around the creation of the Faculty of Medicine at the Burgos University. For the moment, the department headed by Rocío Lucas has not made a move and has not summoned the Council of Universities of Castilla y León, a step that must be taken, according to the PP and Vox proposal approved in the regional courts on November 30 , one day following these same parties rejected a motion from the PSOE to create this race in both Burgos and León. The provincial secretary of the Socialists, Esther Peña, expressed yesterday that the “doubts” that arose following that session in the regional Parliament “begin to be fulfilled”, which “demonstrates that the PP has no intention of starting the debate on the Faculty of Medicine ».
Before a meeting with mayors of the province, in a party act in the Monastery of San Agustín, he took the opportunity to “demand the Minister of Education to immediately and extraordinary convene the Council of Universities”, because it is still a good time, “since the budgets of the Board are still open in the channel” and, therefore, with options to incorporate new items and commitments. «If it is not summoned imminently, the regional government will be saying that there will be no Faculty and, therefore, once once more deceiving the people of Burgos (…)».
