This Daily marks the end of the week, we sit quietly in front of our screens and enjoy! On the menu of the day: Gran Turismo 7 which would finally be viable, a potential PS5 Pro, and the sale of a Pokémon card which beats a new record.
Gran Turismo 7 slows down on microtransactions
Do you remember, it was last week, Grand Touring 7 welcomed the 1.07 update which caused great debate on the internet. Indeed, the developers of the game, Polyphony Digital, deployed a patch which slightly lowered the credits obtained in each race, that is to say the currency to buy new vehicles. And as if that weren’t enough, they also increased the prices of said cars. After a while, patch 1.08 has finally seen the light of day on Sony’s consoles. The rewards have been better balanced and players impacted by this maintenance will get a pack worth one million credits.
The PS5 Pro approaching?
If you are one of the lucky ones who managed to find a Playstation 5: congratulations! For the others, that is to say the majority, news has just fallen. It’s via the Youtube channel RedGamingTech, specializing in hardware news. According to the chain, Sony would be working on a new version of the Playstation 5, which would see the light of day between 2023 and 2024. This timing coincides with that of the PS4 and PS4 Pro for the last generation, no information has been clearly revealed by the manufacturer.
A new sales record for a Pokémon card
Pokemon, catch ’em all! With an eBay price explosion of more than 574% between 2019 and 2020, the Pokémon phenomenon is picking up once more. The latest record was a card sold for the modest sum of 375,000 dollars. But there, Goldin Auction, the company specializing in auctions, hit hard by offering a $75,000 card, which then raised the auction to $900,000, or around €800,000. The lucky holder wished to remain anonymous and all we know is that the famous card is an object dating from 1998.
