The Attorney General of the Republic, Towing William Saabwelcomed the decision issued by the Supreme Court of Justice, in which it declared admissible the electoral appeal filed by the head of state, ratifying the victory of Nicolás Maduro as president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, last Sunday, July 28.

The prosecutor said that this is consistent with the ruling of the TSJ, which asked the MP to advance the investigations into these events. He also indicated that although it is not known whether the opposition member is in Venezuela, “he will have to face the situation.”
«The TSJ issued a ruling. We received a certified copy of the decision to incorporate it into the investigations that this MP is carrying out. These investigations are based on the serious calls from Edmundo González, who is not known to be in Venezuela. He only appears intermittently through spokespersons; but he does not show his face.
