The Promising Future of Solar Thermal in Collective, Tertiary, and Industrial Sectors: Optimizing Yields and Reducing Energy Costs

2023-09-16 09:52:48

We can deplore the lack of debate on heat and solar thermal in particular. But it is clear that the solar thermal sector is holding its own. If this technology has practically deserted the residential sector, it remains promising in collective, tertiary and industrial sectors.

The industry is equipping itself with coupled solar solutions to optimize their yields and reduce fossil fuel or network costs.

In a few years, and despite the slight jump recorded by Uniclima last year, solar thermal has practically left the panorama of thermal engineers. However, at the “General States of Solar Heat” organized by Enerplan last June, the participants clearly demonstrated the potential of this technical solution.

The very significant water requirements at high temperatures (80°C) are met by a multi-energy installation: natural gas, renewables and recovered

The investment of €1.15 million (before subsidies) makes it possible to achieve a respectable level of coverage by renewable and recovered energies of nearly 40%, rate validated in 2022

Nursing homes, both large consumers of domestic hot water and tertiary premises, are interested in solar thermal installations to reduce their energy needs in complete health safety
