The program of the week at Polyhedro

This week is also full of events at Polyhedro. Specifically, on Wednesday, October 16 at 8 p.m., there will be a presentation of the book “Amazing – aporing – philosophers. The beginning of philosophy and philosophy as a beginning in the classical era” by Spyros I. Ragos, published by the University Publications of Crete.

Georgia Sermamoglou-Soulmaidi, Associate Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Patras, Stavros Kouloumentas, Associate Professor of Ancient Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Patras, Marianna Karagiorgou, Doctor of Classical Literature at the Department of Philology of the University of Patras, will talk about the book. the author Spyros Ragos, Professor of Ancient Greek Philology and Philosophy at the Department of Philology at the University of Patras.

The event will be coordinated by Katerina Economopoulou, Associate Professor of Ancient Greek Philology at the Department of Philology of the University of Patras. An audience discussion will follow.

The following day, Thursday October 17 from 6 to 8 pm, the meeting “With a needle and thread” will take place, that is, the meeting with the most inspiring and creative company! Participants knit, sew, embroider, patch and create!

On Friday, October 18 at 8 p.m., the presentation of the book “Walks with Arsinoe’s Gioconda in the Microcosm of the Expanding Universe” by Spyros Tzamaria, published by Periplus publications, will take place.

They will speak: Vgenopoulos Dinos, journalist, Kaproulias Apostolis, (PhD) Professor at Protip of Patras,
Doctor of Philology and Theology, Petropoulos Michalis, (MSc) Professor at the Standard of Patras, Kostas Skordoulis, (PhD) Professor at the University of Athens and the author Spyros Tzamarias (PhD), Professor Emeritus of AUTH.

On Saturday 19 October from 10.30 am to 12.30 noon there will be an educational activity for children that will include an engraving workshop, while at 1 pm the book “Tell her” by Christos Oikonomou, published by Polis publications, will be presented.

The book will be spoken by Goulas Spyros, poet and Panagiotopoulou Vivia, philologist, MA in Modern Greek
and Comparative Philology. A text by Giorgos Charitatos, PhD candidate in Classical Philology, will also be read. The Polyhedron Literature Reading Club will participate in the discussion.

On the same day, at 7 pm, the book “Creatures you meet crossing the wild wilderness of Tyto Alba” by Michalis Katrakis, published by Sirtari publications, will be presented. The author Minos Efstathiadis will speak about the book.

Finally, on the same day, there will be a meeting of visual artists as part of the “Memories of Summer” exhibition and let’s not forget the book bazaar in the Garden of Polyedros and the rainy days in the attic of the Viliopoleio.
