the program of preparation matches before the 2023 World Cup

If the NBA season is in full swing, international deadlines have not been forgotten and the 2023 World Cup is gradually approaching. The FFBB has communicated the schedule of preparation matches for the Blues before joining the Philippines and Japan this summer.

We do not yet know the pools or even all of the qualifiers for the 2023 World Cup, but the teams that have already validated the ticket are already preparing their organization for this summer. Already assured of being one of them, France also has its program well in mind.

The Federation announced today on its Twitter page that the ticket office for the four home preparation matches is now open. On the menu: Tunisia on July 27 in Pau, Montenegro on August 2 in Montpellier, Venezuela (replacing Argentina) on August 7 in Orléans, Lithuania on August 9 still in Orléans, before a revenge once morest these same Lithuanians on August 11, this time on their land.

Note that this program is not yet final and Vincent Collet and his staff should still plan one or two meetings before the start of hostilities. As a reminder, the 2023 World Cup will take place from August 25 to September 10. The matches will take place in Japan, Indonesia and also in the Philippines.

Among the favorites, we should as always find the ogre Team USA but also France, Spain (recent European champion), Serbia, Slovenia or Australia. This international competition should mark the great debut of Victor Wembanyama in a major tournament with the Blues. We are also waiting to know if Joel Embiid will opt for the tricolor jersey or if he will rather join the ranks of the American team, because of his now triple nationality.
