The profits of the Commercial Bank increase by 8.5 percent, and Masraf Al Rayan declines by 24 percent

The net profit of the Commercial Bank (a Qatari public shareholding company) increased by 8.5 percent in the first half of 2023 to reach 1.554 billion riyals, compared to a net profit of 1.432 billion Qatari riyals for the same period last year.

The figures issued by the bank and published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website today showed an increase in earnings per share, reaching 0.37 Qatari riyals in the first half of 2023, compared to earnings per share of 0.34 Qatari riyals for the same period of the previous year.

On the other hand, the financial statements of Masraf Al Rayan (a Qatari public shareholding company) revealed a decline in net profits by 24 percent, to reach 764.641 million riyals in the first half of 2023, compared to 999.906 million riyals in the same period last year.

The figures issued by the bank and published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website today also showed a decline in the earnings per share to 0.082 riyals in the period ending on June 30, 2023, compared to 0.108 riyals in the same period of the year 2022.
