Sergio Pérez did not complete a single lap during qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix. The Mexican had a problem that ended up taking him to the gravel and, therefore, he finished last in the session.

The Mexican pilot has had a bad start in the Australian Grand Prix, since it will leave last tomorrow. Coming out of the pits for his out-lap, Sergio Pérez had a problem at Turn 3, which caused him to go wide and end up in the gravel, resulting in him finishing last in qualifying.

following what happened, Christian Horner has confirmed that the team has started to investigate where the problem was. According to the driver, he believes that the failure comes from the brakes and he hopes to have it fixed by tomorrow and thus be able to obtain the maximum number of points.
“It’s something that is throwing the brakes off balance quite a bit under braking and I just hope we can fix it tomorrow so we can race and minimize the damage. I have complete confidence in my team and I know we can overcome this problem to have a strong race pace.”Pérez continued to close.
