The probable cause of Coolio’s death is known: paramedics tried to resuscitate him for almost an hour

Coolio, known for his hit “Gangsta’s Paradise” released in 1995, died at the age of 59, this Wednesday September 28 in Los Angeles.

Jarez Posey, manager and longtime close friend of the artist, told TMZ that he found him unconscious in a friend’s bathroom. So far the exact cause of death has not been confirmed.

According to TMZ, the American media specializing in celebrity coverage, medical personnel tried to resuscitate the rapper for more than 45 minutes, without success.

At the scene, the police found no drugs or medical paraphernalia in the bathroom. The entertainer’s manager said he was told Coolio succumbed to a heart attack.

A few days before his death, fans were able to meet the artist and according to them, Coolio gave no signs that he had any health problems.

TMZ has published photos of the artist, taken last Friday at the Houston airport.

An autopsy and toxicology test will be used to determine the official cause of death.
