The Prime Minister of Burkina Faso proposes the creation of a “federation” between his country and Mali

Burkinabe Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachim Kyélem de Tambèla proposed, Thursday, February 2, the creation of a “federation” between his country and Mali, both confronted with jihadist violence and led by putschist soldiers who demanded the departure of the French soldiers from their soils. He met his Malian counterpart Choguel Kokalla Maïga, who repeated the principles that Bamako has made its mantra: defense of sovereignty and freedom to choose its foreign partners.

In Côte d’Ivoire, the appeal trial of 12 relatives of former Prime Minister Guillaume Soro is being held.
