While giving a press conference in Lahore, Atta Tarar said that the Federal Cabinet meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, short-term, medium-term and long-term goals have been given to each ministry.

The federal minister said that the prime minister has given the ministries the target to fulfill the IMF targets, the finance ministry has been given the target to reduce inflation, debt restructuring and digitization of the FBR.

Atta Tarar said that the Ministry of Interior has been given a target to crack down on illegal weapons, while the Ministry of Commerce has been given a target to reduce the trade deficit, a target has also been given to prevent smuggling. Apart from this, targets have also been set regarding illegal foreign nationals in Pakistan.

The Federal Minister of Information said that targets have also been given regarding trade agreements between friendly countries, the Ministry of Commerce has been given a target to approve the National Industrial Policy in the cabinet by April 30.

He said that a system of self-accountability has also been devised, instructions have been given to devise a modern system for monitoring the targets and the ministries have been informed about the targets in writing for the first time.

The Minister of Information said that the Ministry of Privatization has been given the target of privatization of PIA, the negotiations regarding PIA have successfully reached a logical conclusion, if PIA is privatized, the government will get revenue in this regard. , PIA’s dealings with commercial banks have been settled amicably, privatization of PIA will have a positive impact on the economy.

He said that the Finance Minister has been paying full attention to the issues of economic development, due to the efforts of the Finance Minister, the rupee has stabilized and the stock market has accelerated.

Atta Tarar said that there is a demand for our IT experts in the world, enabling facilities like PayPal and bringing modern digital system in the country are the main goals, efforts will be made to open X, Facebook and Instagram offices in Pakistan.
