Ultrabooks are particularly attractive laptops due to their size and lightness, which makes them popular with workers and students who have to carry them around all day. The Asus Zenbook 15 OLED has an even more attractive argument than its compact format: a 2.8K screen. At the moment, this laptop is offered at 879.99 euros instead of its crossed out price of 999.99 euros at Darty and Fnac.

OLED is a display technology that was initially found on TVs, it then spread to smartphones and laptops. Instead of using backlighting with LEDs, it uses pixels that emit their own light and are independent of each other. Which gives an excellent contrast ratio and ultra-deep blacks. This Asus Zenbook 15 also benefits from OLED, as well as a reduction of 120 euros at Darty et Fnac.
The Asus Zenbook 15 OLED in a few points
A magnificent OLED screen in 2.8K definition An AMD Ryzen 7 processor with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM Good autonomy despite the OLED display
Instead of a crossed out price of 999.99 euros, the Asus Zenbook 15 OLED is now available on sale at 879.99 euros at Darty et Fnac.
A beautiful screen
Let’s start with the most interesting thing regarding this Asus Zenbook: its OLED screen. As explained above, this display technology allows it to display an infinite contrast ratio and almost perfect blacks. This 15.6-inch panel is here in 2.8K definition (2880 x 1620 pixels) and has an excellent refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Taiwanese manufacturer also announces a response time of 0.2 ms and full coverage of the DCI-P3 range. On the other hand, our test measured limited brightness, which is common with this type of display.
So much technology in this little thing, advances in the miniaturization of components never leave marble. The Asus Zenbook 15 OLED is an ultrabook and has therefore been designed to be easily transportable, as evidenced by its weight of 1.4 kg and its thickness of 1.49 cm. And despite its finesse, it has a well-stocked connection with a USB-A port, two USB-C ports, an HDMI port and a 3.5 mm jack port.
Enduring despite an energy-intensive display
The Asus Zenbook 15 OLED runs here with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735U, this is a processor with 8 cores and 16 threads and with a clock frequency of 2.7 GHz by default and 4, 75 GHz in turbo boost mode. It is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM to ensure multitasking. The Asus Zenbook 15 OLED is a laptop dedicated to office automation, so don’t expect to run the latest AAA games on it, but some old titles or low-budget should be possible with the graphics solution embedded in the CPU, AMD Radeon 680M.
In terms of storage, the Asus Zenbook 15 OLED has a 512 GB NVMe SSD, which is ideal for storing a maximum of files and graphics work, but also for launching software almost instantly. Finally, this laptop has a 67 Wh battery capable of an autonomy of 13 hours according to the manufacturer, our test however measured a duration ranging from 8 to 9 hours, this is however enough for a working day. Recharging is done with a 65 W power supply capable of regaining 60% of the battery capacity in 49 minutes.
