Financial market experts believe that the decline in the price of the euro globally once morest the dollar, would reduce the debt bill denominated in euros, but it is a limited decrease in the value of debt installments and interests, especially since the Egyptian pound has lost 30% of its value so far, since last March when it reduced it. The Central Bank of Egypt is 17% so far.
Banking experts pointed out that the euro import bill in Egypt is limited once morest the dollar’s strength in importing strategic consumer goods such as wheat, grain and gasoline.

As for the debt installments and interests on Egypt in 2024, Egypt is committed to paying $24.2 billion, including $10.9 billion during the first half, and $13.3 billion during the second half of the year.
During the year 2025, Egypt is committed to paying $15.1 billion of its debt installments and interests, divided into $9.3 billion during the first half and $5.8 billion in the second half of 2025.
During the next 2026, Egypt will pay installments and interest on debts worth 16.8 billion dollars, and during 2027 the Egyptian government will have to pay 10.1 billion dollars.
