In private banks, the euro exchange rate varied today in the Commercial International Bank; Where it fell to 19.05 pounds for purchase, while it rose to 19.39 pounds for sale, compared to 19.09 pounds for purchase, and 19.28 pounds for sale yesterday.

The price of the dollar today in Egypt remained at the Central Bank of Egypt, at the level of 19.13 pounds for purchase, and 19.23 pounds for sale, according to the Central Bank bulletin “cbe.org.eg”.

Ragab Shehata, head of the Rice Division of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, said that the price of rice in some areas in Egypt reached 25 pounds, despite the availability of rice and its presence in shops and supermarkets.
Shehata added, in statements to an Egyptian satellite channel, that the old rice is still in the supermarket, noting that it was the citizen who helped raise prices.
He explained that if the citizen boycotts the purchase for a period of one week, the merchant will be forced to reduce prices. He also indicated that rice production is equivalent to regarding 4 million net tons.
The head of the rice division of the Federation of Egyptian Industries stressed that consumption in Egypt does not exceed 3.5 million tons, which means that the appropriate quantities are available.
