Taking your car to go on vacation, even as a foursome, is no longer economical.
Will going on vacation by car become a luxury reserved only for the most affluent? Given the exponential rise in fuel prices – + 100% in five years! -, the question is no longer so incongruous as that. On Saturday, diesel indeed reached prices never before reached: in some pumps, it is now necessary to pay more than two euros per liter. And gasoline, which has not yet passed this symbolic milestone, should soon follow the same path. So much so that a motorist who would limit himself to a full 50 liters per week would have to pay more than €5,000 today compared to barely €2,500 five years ago.
