There are no small profits for Apple, which has discreetly increased the prices of several of its accessories here and there. Illustration with the AirPods 3, which go from €199 to 219 € an increase of 10%.
To pass the pill, Apple offers to equip the headphones with a Lightning charging box, which saves 10 small euros on the final price (209 €, therefore, which is still 5% more expensive). On the other hand, we will no longer be entitled to MagSafe or Qi compatibility. On this box, charging can only be wired, in Lightning.
Apple explains that for the rest, the two boxes have identical functions: they offer up to 30 hours of autonomy, and they are IPX4 certified (resistance to water and perspiration).
