The parliamentary coordinator of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) of the LXI local Legislature, Elías Rescala Jiménez, assured that his bench will continue to favor respectful dialogue and avoid confrontation.
“As long as there is disrespect, we are going to try to avoid conflict as much as possible and try to withdraw when there is disrespect, high-sounding… we are favoring dialogue and that it be respectful, in such a way that there are no high-sounding words, insults and in that sense the PRI will always be maintaining unity,” he said.
The foregoing following noting that the suspension of the session in the Local Congress last Tuesday, April 4, was due to conflicts and inappropriate words towards the bench, for which they decided to withdraw from the plenary session.
To avoid affecting the legislative work, the PRI member called on the rest of the members of the Legislature to avoid confrontation between political forces, especially in an electoral context.
On the other hand, he reiterated that the objective of the Congress is to continue working at the same pace, presenting, analyzing and approving relevant initiatives to continue giving results to the citizenry.
Among the pending issues that will be given priority in this regular session, he said, is endorsing the disincorporation of the properties that are used for the construction of the Women’s Cities, which offer comprehensive services to women victims of violence, their children and daughters.
“The legislature has a responsibility task in the defense of gender-related crimes and we will continue working to strengthen it,” he added.
