The Presidential Pardon Committee publishes the first pictures of those released today

Tariq Al-Khouli, a member of the Presidential Pardon Committee, published a set of photos of the recently released batch, according to the efforts of the committee

The Presidential Pardon Committee had confirmed that the number of those released exceeded 1,000, since the committee’s work was reactivated on April 26, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

The committee indicated – in a statement – that new amnesty batches will continue to be released during the coming period, as we have recently witnessed a rapid pace of successive batches coming out within a short period, due to full coordination with the concerned state authorities, confirming the great cooperation with the Attorney General, Counselor Hamada Al-Sawy and Minister of Defense. Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq.

The presidential pardon committee stated: “In the previous period, we obtained many lists from the political forces, the National Council for Human Rights, and the families of those directly imprisoned. Among the released were many young men, in addition to the exit of Egypt’s insurance workers, journalists and women who were at the top of the priorities.”

The committee confirmed that it works impartially and does not differentiate between famous and unknown personalities, because the release of any imprisoned person is a success in itself for the work of the committee, in addition to the very important file of merging the released released in which we have achieved successes during the recent period.

The committee concluded its statement by saying, “We give you good news that there is a new amnesty batch next week and we intensify our efforts to examine the lists submitted to us, and that the work of the Amnesty Committee is in line with the national human rights strategy. There is a huge and great political will to leave all those targeted by the presidential pardon.”
