In his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Army, the Presidential Council assigned the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Muhammad al-Haddad, to develop an urgent plan to combat crime and lawlessness and improve the living and security situation in Zawiya, with the full support of the National Unity Government.
This came during a meeting in the office of the Presidential Council in Tripoli, which included the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, the two chiefs of the general staff, the General Intelligence Service, a number of chiefs of staff, a number of military and security leaders from the city of Zawiya, representatives of the civil movement, dignitaries and social leaders.
