The PRESIDENTIAL Club is considered a brilliant idea. The gathering forum for previous presidents might be a forum for exchanging ideas.
“Personally, this is a brilliant idea, where former heads of government can join in a platform and forum to exchange ideas,” said Golkar Party DPP Chairman Dave Akbarshah Fikarno when contacted, Wednesday (8/5) .
Dave is confident that the ideas the nation needs will emerge from the Presidential Club. However, regarding policy determination, it remains the decision of the elected president for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto.
“Even though it ultimately comes down to the sitting president to determine the final policy, at least there is a forum,” said Dave.
The presidential club is actually a forum so that previous leaders can meet regularly. President-elect for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto, wants leaders in Indonesia to work together to advance the nation.
Spokesperson for the Minister of Defense (Menhan), Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, said that the presidential club is not an institution, but rather a term.
“Presidential Club is just my term, not an institution. In essence, Pak Prabowo wants former presidents to continue to meet regularly and discuss strategic national issues. So that they maintain national friendship and become role models for all of us,” said Dahnil when confirmed, Friday, May 3, 2024. (Z-6)
