India is one of the world’s leading energy consumers, but more than half of its energy matrix depends on coal. For that reason, strongly promote their own energy transition within the framework of international commitments to reduce polluting emissions (COP26).
According to Indian government estimates, the country is expected to double its energy consumption in the next decade and will seek to use renewable sources and gas in order to reduce its dependence on coal.
In that framework, Pablo González, president of YPF, will participate in the Energy Week (India Energy Week) that will take place from February 6 to 8 in the city of Bengalore, where he will present the opportunities that Argentina has to become a reliable supplier of energy, especially gas, renewables and lithium.
Representatives from more than 100 countries will participate in this conference, organized by the Ministry of Oil and Gas of India, to learn regarding the opportunities posed by the energy transition in one of the 10 largest economies in the world.
