Microsoft CEO and Chairman Satya Nadella stressed the importance of artificial intelligence technologies to support economic development in the Kingdom, during his speech at an event he attended in Riyadh that dealt with “Artificial Intelligence: A New Era.”
During his attendance at this event, Nadella met with prominent local business leaders, government officials, and a leading group of technical developers, during which he highlighted the prominent role that artificial intelligence plays in providing new opportunities. To enhance the digital economy in the Kingdom, ensuring the improvement of the quality of life of its citizens in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Nadella explained in a statement on this occasion that the new generation of artificial intelligence will radically transform the level of individuals’ productivity and enhance innovation in institutions and business sectors at the global and local levels, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Nadella praised the efforts made by Saudi institutions in the government and private sectors to devote these technologies to stimulating innovation and providing abundant opportunities to advance economic development.
During the event, a discussion took place between His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, and the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Microsoft, regarding ways of strategies to employ the latest artificial intelligence innovations. This discussion aimed to accelerate the realization of the Kingdom’s vision for its transformation into a digital society that guarantees a digital government. An advanced and prosperous digital economy, and promoting an innovative future that is in the interest of everyone without exception.
