The Italian President stated in his congratulatory message: “In these days when the friendly Algerian people celebrate the seventieth anniversary of the outbreak of the liberation revolution, I extend to you, dear President, and to all your compatriots, warm congratulations, along with personal congratulations.”
He added, “Based on strong traditional relations, the friendship between Algeria and Rome fosters intense dialogue and meaningful cooperation in many areas of common interest.”
Sergio Mattarella expressed his satisfaction with the exceptional solidity of this relationship, which Rome intends to develop in the future.
Mattarella continued, saying: “In this way, Italy and Algeria will continue to promote the prospects for peace, stability and prosperity for the benefit of the entire Mediterranean region, as Algeria is an important and essential focus in this dramatic phase marked by violent conflicts and escalating tensions.”
On Friday, November 1, 2024, Algeria commemorated the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the liberation revolution with a huge military parade attended by leaders and presidents of several countries.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Algerian Army, Lieutenant General Saeed Chengriha, supervised the launch of the military parade.
Tebboune began this celebration by giving a military salute to the various participating military teams in the presence of many leaders and officials, led by Tunisian President Kais Saied and Mauritanian President Mohamed Ghazouani.
