On July 31, local time, a large number of LiuGong (000528.SZ) equipment was officially delivered to the Ghanaian government for use in the District Road Improvement Program (DRIP) to support the local economic development plan. The Ghanaian government launched the program with a grand celebration at Accra’s Independence Square. About 3,000 people including Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana Li Yaohong, officials from various Ghanaian government departments, LiuGong Chairman and General Manager Zeng Guangan, and Senior Vice President attended the meeting Event President Luo Guobing.

“Ghana is at a critical stage of rapid development. To achieve economic recovery, we must first solve the central issue of infrastructure. The government’s purchase of 1,000 LiuGong equipment is of great significance to improving our rural transportation conditions and improving local people’s livelihood.

“LiuGong has been operating in Africa since the 1990s through Chinese government aid programs. Today, LiuGong provides equipment and services to many customers and major projects on the African continent. More than 30,000 units are currently in use. In addition, LiuGong is also committed to public welfare and social sustainability. Last year, we launched the Green Alliance initiative to support charity programs in Africa. This year our program will be expanded to other countries. providing clean water to people and laying the foundation for healthy and sustainable lives for African people.
LiuGong provided thousands of construction machines for the DRIP project. These machines will be distributed to 261 regions in Ghana to promote local economic and social development. In addition, LiuGong has established a call center and spare parts warehouse in Ghana, and created 16 regional service centers across the country to provide 24-hour professional services. These service centers are designed to respond quickly to customer needs and ensure equipment is operating efficiently. LiuGong also plans to cooperate with local universities to cultivate mechanical engineering talents and further enhance its local influence in Africa.
The day before the event, LiuGong Chairman and Managing Director Zeng Guangan, Senior Vice President Luo Guobing and other senior executives were received by Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The two parties had an in-depth discussion on LiuGong’s business development in Ghana and looked forward to future cooperation. This meeting further consolidated the close cooperative relationship between LiuGong and the Ghanaian government.
LiuGong will continue to increase investment in the African market, set up subsidiaries and offices in key countries, deepen relationships with local partners, build a complete sales network, and make greater contributions to Africa’s modernization process.
