The president of CREA calls for industrial alliances to be forged between Algerian and Turkish operators

ALGIERS – The president of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Kamel Moula, called, Tuesday in Algiers, to forge industrial alliances between Algerian and Turkish operators, likely to create added value and penetrate new international markets.

In a speech delivered during the work of the Algerian-Turkish Economic Forum, co-chaired by the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Nadir Larbaoui, at the “Abdelatif-Rahal” International Conference Center, Mr. Moula said that “it is essential to create an integration of investments and expertise between the two countries in order to enable the Algerian and Turkish economies to face strategic and global challenges.”

He added that “at a time when Turkey has demonstrated to the world its great export capacity thanks to the exceptional development of its industrial sector, Algeria has major assets, because it is at the gateway to the African and European continents. , which calls for operators from both countries to work together to enter new areas in global markets through high value-added industrial alliances and putting both countries on the path to sustainable and inclusive growth.

In addition to industry, Mr. Moula highlighted investment opportunities in the Algerian tourism sector, which has significant assets, calling on Turkish investors to organize special visits to discover the opportunities it holds.

In the same context, the president of CREA urged Turkish operators to intensify their investments in Algeria, taking advantage of the “remarkable” improvement in the business climate in the country.

“The business climate is improving day by day, thanks to the determination of the President of the Republic, and thanks to the structural reforms undertaken by the government”, in addition to “the lifting of restrictions which might hinder the growth of businesses and productive investments,” he said.

Added to this is the permanent and effective dialogue between public authorities and economic operators, which has made it possible to “reestablish the confidence necessary to work on economic development”.

This “obvious” confidence resulted in the registration of thousands of investment projects at the level of the Algerian Agency for the Promotion of Investment, according to Mr. Moula, who also underlined the importance of the process. the digitalization of administrative procedures and the adoption of new legislation to open up broad prospects for making investments, such as the law on economic land and the abolition of the tax on professional activity.

The Algerian-Turkish Economic Forum, organized at the “Abdelatif-Rahal” International Conference Center under the slogan “For a productive and sustainable economic partnership”, is part of President Erdogan’s official visit to Algeria.

This forum, organized by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was marked by the presence of a large number of economic operators from the two countries, who came to explore ways and means of strengthening economic and commercial relations between the Algeria and Turkey.
