Planned marches, this Saturday, August 19, 2023, by the Front movement for the popular anti-imperialist and pan-Africanist republic (Frapp) will not be held in certain localities of the country.
Indeed, the prefects of Rufisque, Tivaoune and Saint-Louis, have vetoed following the request for demonstrations introduced by the deputy Guy Marius Sagna et Cie. “The walking bans filed by the FRAPP are linked for fallacious reasons as an attempt to discredit a public institution. As usual, prohibition orders are notified the day before to prevent any recourse to the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Amadou Ba and the dolphins crisscross the country without any hindrance. Democracy is abolished in Senegal”, declares Amadou Ba of the ex-Pastef in a publication in which he joined the arrested!
