The PP will ask this Monday in Congress for the resignation of President Francina Armengol | Spain

The spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, Miguel Tellado, announced this Sunday that the PP will register this Monday in the Lower House a letter requesting the immediate resignation of the president of Congress, Francina Armengol, “due to her obvious involvement” in the Koldo case. “Everything indicates that he collaborated with the plot and has tried to deceive the EU by asking that, with community funds, it assume the expense of this scam,” said the popular leader, who stressed that, for democratic cleansing, Armengol must resign as soon as possible because “He has played with the money, health and intelligence of the Spanish people.”

For the person in charge of the PP, the Koldo case is he Sánchez case: “This is not the Koldo casethis is not the Ábalos caseThis is the Sánchez casebecause all those involved are people extremely close to the President of the Government, and they are people who have a direct connection with him.”

In his opinion, “Armengol is doing enormous damage” to Congress and “is devaluing the prestige of an institution that has to be far above all this.” She added that Armengol should never have been named president because her political career was already “burdened” by two scandals: “By skipping the confinement that she herself decreed and a case of abuse of warded minors.”
