The PP tries to erode the image of a good manager of Puig and attacks him for the convictions in health

The Valencian PP wants to demystify the management of the pandemic that seems to have elevated Ximo Puig. With relatively good data -although the Valencian Community suffered a lot following Christmas 2020- and with a quick response with the rental of planes and boats to bring material, the image of the Valencian president has been reinforced by the global health crisis.

However, in the PP they believe that, during this time, many mistakes were made and there are plenty of reasons to attack and question the work of Ximo Puig. The PP trustee, María José Catalá, focused on this yesterday, in the first control session of the year.

Demoscopic work

In the polls handled by the PP, health is one of the main concerns of Valencians

The popular support their movements in demographic studies and these point out that health has become one of the main issues of concern to citizens. For this reason, they did not hesitate to open the session by censoring the management of the pandemic.

Catalá relied on the sentences that condemn the Generalitat Valenciana to pay for “failing health personnel, for not protecting them when they put their lives at risk to save ours.” In addition, the leader of the PP disgraced the president that she had “abandoned his fate by not vaccinating the toilets for the sole fact of working in private health.” “Sectarianism, pure and simple,” she emphasized.

Proposal

Catalá asks Puig that “out of decency and dignity” he does not appeal the sentence that obliges health personnel to be compensated

Along these lines, the also general secretary of the PPCV demanded that Puig, “out of decency and dignity”, support the toilets and abide by the sentence that condemns him for not protecting them. Catalá demanded that the ruling that obliges the Consell to compensate them not be appealed.

Nor is it acceptable, he argued, that part of the extra pay is being claimed from the toilets that he announced in Les Corts. “It is a shame that this money is being asked for while 450 million euros are being spent on its beach bars,” she said.

In the reply, the head of the Consell assured that the Government he presides over “will always respect any judicial decision” and, recalling what happened in the vote on the labor reform, argued that “the rules of the game must always be respected, win or lose “.

Thus, he indicated that the Rule of Law allows appealing sentences that are considered to be incorrect and the Generalitat will do so.

Puig also defended that the ministry’s vaccination strategy was “scrupulously” followed, “always vaccinating the most vulnerable first without discrimination, in public and private health.”

Therefore, he regretted that the opposition is in a “permanent boycott, trying to break the economic and social recovery of the Community.” He gave as an example the controversy of European funds when, he slipped, that “now would be the time to try to support the Government to get out of the worst crisis in history.”

However, the bridges are completely broken, far from those reconstruction agreements that were signed at the beginning of the pandemic. Catalá corroborated it: “With 79 convictions for not giving information, how do you want us to put our shoulders to the wheel?”

Relief in Commitment

The debut of Papi Robles as trustee of Compromís shows that, for the moment, he is not going to raise his voice in Les Corts

In addition to this blowing up of bridges, caused in part by the beginning of the long pre-election campaign that is expected, the new period of sessions made it clear that Compromís, despite the change of Síndic, does not plan to raise a tone in Les Corts. At least for now.

The new spokeswoman, Papi Robles, at her premiere, showed her agreement with the Botànic’s policies and made her commitment clear: “As a woman, mother and Valencian, I can only think that if those from there (pointing to the bench on the right) return Here we will once once more have cuts, bossing around and hate in our society.” An intervention that was cataloged as a “massage” to Puig from the seats of the PP and that was very well received by the socialist leader.

Even the question from the Unides Podem trustee, Pilar Lima, more committed to Puig for questioning projects to implement photovoltaic macro-plants in Castellón, was white glove.

To all this, in the control session, one last significant point was added. Faced with the rush of the Vox spokeswoman, AnaVega, to call elections, Puig replied: “Don’t worry, there will be no elections soon.”

It seems that the possibility of early elections is fading before a government that tries to focus on executing the most important budget in history and making the most of the manna from European funds.
