The last barometer of the CIS, corresponding to the month of December, placed the PSOE as the first political force extending its advantage over the PP, which was stagnating, to 7.2 points. Now, in the first poll of the year, with the elections in Castilla y León just under a month away and the crisis due to the controversial statements by Minister Garzón regarding the macro-farms, the rise in the formation of Married, from 20.8 to 21.5% in the vote estimation, he reduces his distance with Sánchez, which goes from 28% to 28.5%.
The Center for Sociological Research (CIS) presented this Thursday its first barometer of the year, whose field work was carried out in the first weeks of January, with the omicron variant in full swing and the political debate focused on the statements of the Minister of Consumption , Alberto Garzón, on the macro farms. It is also the first poll with the intention of voting following the agreement that the Government closed with unions and employers to modify labor legislation.
In the days in which the CIS asked the questions for its telephone survey, the pre-campaign for the regional elections on February 13 in Castilla y León began, marked in its first bars by the words of Garzón questioning the quality of the meat products from macro farms. The opposition asked for his resignation and the socialist part of the Government, including the president, Pedro Sánchez, avoided supporting him.
