Eating at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day is key to obtaining the nutritional benefits of these foods and thus preventing the development of various diseases, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

The American Heart Association and other international organizations indicate that the consumption of these products should be a priority because they contain vitamins, minerals, fiber and many other components that fulfill key functions for the proper functioning of the body.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) believes that adding green, yellow, orange, red or purple of these foods to dishes helps keep people healthy.

The aforementioned source ensures that fruits and vegetables prevent all forms of malnutrition, among which malnutrition, micronutrient deficiency, overweight and obesity stand out, while contributing to reducing the risk of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, obesity and cancer.

One of the fruits that can be included in the diet and that provides a series of benefits to the body is soursop. On the other hand, a publication from the magazine Mejor con Salud, written by Carolina Betancourth, assures that patients at risk of high blood pressure can obtain many benefits with the regular consumption of soursop.

For example, it says that the dietary fiber it provides to the body reduces the accumulation of cholesterol in the arteries, which prevents future blockages, thus taking care of these ducts through which blood is transported.
