The festival Kabuki became a classic for fans of the culture Oriental in Neuquén and this year the number of people who participated exceeded the expectations of the organizers. With a wide range of proposals, they are already thinking regarding organizing a new edition to be held before the end of the year.
Thousands of lovers of pop culture, anime, cosplay (costumes), video games, K-pop and other artistic activities passed through the Stadium facilities Ruca Che. “We have a capacity for six thousand people and everything is packed. There are people waiting outside to enter, families, groups of friends, everyone wants to take advantage of the last day”, he explained to LMNeuquén Ivan, one of the organizers.
People from all over the country came to Neuquén to participate in contests and workshops, from visitors from Jujuy to the province of Buenos Aires. “We handed out 50 thousand pesos in prizes. 50 girls participated in the dance category and then more than 160 people in Cosplay. That delayed everything a bit, but hey, people had a good time, which is what matters. Also, there was always some artist on stage,” he explained.
Among the personifications that toured the Ruca Che Stadium passed the comic and anime figures such as Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Naruto and the most modern Boku No Hero and Demon Slayer, among others.
“There were K-pop dance and martial arts presentations, from Cinco Saltos we will be visited by the ‘Tribute Miyazaki Quintet’ who played the music of the Japanese animation master Hayao Miyasaki”, Ivan said.
This year, the festival added cosplay and drawing workshops, sculpture, K-pop dance choreography, stands with various products of all the characters. “Everything is ready for people of all ages to enjoy,” he said.

In this sense, the organizer pointed out the importance of the collaboration of the Ministry of Children, Adolescents, Youth and Citizenship, the Undersecretary of Youth, the Ministry of Cultures of the Province of Neuquén and the governor, Omar Gutiérrez. “Their collaboration was fundamental, because both they and we know that many of the boys who come today with their costumes made by themselves, or with the help of their families, have often been victims of bullying for their tastes. So here we are to contain them, ”he assured.
Lastly, the Neuquén Integrated Emergency System (SIEN) team provided CPR training for adults and children. “We are very happy and grateful for the great call and the support. We hope to be able to add at least one more day to the edition we plan for the end of the year”, he pointed out.
