Bengaluru: JDS leader and former Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy has reacted to Ajit Pawar becoming Deputy Chief Minister following splitting the NCP in Maharashtra. He said he was worried regarding what would happen in Karnataka when he heard the decision of Ajit Pawar, who supports the BJP. He also told the media that he is worried regarding who will be Ajit Pawar in Karnataka.

‘I was shocked when I heard Ajit Pawar’s decision to support BJP. I was scared thinking what would happen in Karnataka. We are waiting to see who will be the Ajit Pawar of Karnataka in the future,’ he said.

Union Joint Minister Abhale Ramdas also said that the same situation as in Maharashtra will soon come to Bihar too.

“What is happening now in Maharashtra will soon happen in Bihar too. Some JDU MLAs are not happy with Nitish Kumar. Jayant Chaudhary may join NDA as he is unhappy with Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of difference of opinion among the MLAs of the Samajwadi Party too,’ he said.

Ajit Pawar was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister yesterday. Along with Ajit Pawar, nine MLAs of NCP were also sworn in as ministers.

The power dispute that has been going on for a long time in the NCP has led the party to split. Sharad Pawar had earlier expressed his willingness to step down as chairman. At this time, there were rumors that son-in-law Ajit Pawar would take the leadership position in the party. But there were moves from Pawar’s side to bring his daughter Supriya to the party leadership.
