“The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that, in connection with the statements of representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland was invited to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” the Polish diplomat said in a statement.

Hours earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry summoned the Polish ambassador to kyiv, Bartosz Cichockidue to the declarations of Marcin Przydaczhead of the Foreign Policy Office of the Polish Presidency, regarding Kiev’s lack of gratitude for the help Warsaw provided.

In particular, Przydacz told several Polish media outlets on 31 July that kyiv received great help from Warsaw and that Ukraine should begin to appreciate the role that Poland has played for this country in recent years.

The spokesman of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Oleg Nikolenko, dismissed as false and unacceptable the statements regarding the alleged ingratitude of kyiv for the help of Warsaw. The spokesman also pointed out that politics should not question the mutual understanding and solidity of the relations of the Ukrainian and Polish peoples.
