The Polish Foreign Ministry said that a “Russian-made missile” hit a farm in the Polish town of Przewodów, near the border with Ukraine, on Tuesday, killing two people.
The spokesman for the Polish Foreign Ministry, Lukasz Jasina, said that the Russian ambassador in Poland had been called for consultations to give “immediate detailed explanations” of what happened.
The foreign ministry statement does not say who launched the missile, and both sides have used Russian-made munitions.
Previously, there had been a meeting of the Polish National Security Council to analyze the situation.

Meanwhile, a group of world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, met in an emergency as part of the G20 meeting in Bali to discuss the implications of the attack on Poland, a NATO territory.

“I call on all Poles to remain calm in the face of this tragedy… We must exercise restraint and caution,” Morawiecki said following emergency government meetings in Warsaw.
He also said that Poland would increase surveillance of its airspace following the incident.
“We decided to increase the combat readiness of selected units of the Polish armed forces, with special emphasis on airspace monitoring,” he told reporters.
The G7 group of nations – made up of the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan – issued a statement from Bali on what happened, condemning “the barbaric missile attacks that Russia perpetrated in the cities and civilian infrastructure of Ukraine on Tuesday”.
“We discussed the explosion that took place in the eastern part of Poland near the Ukrainian border. We offer our full support and assistance with Poland’s ongoing investigation. We have agreed to remain in close contact to determine appropriate next steps as the investigation progresses. research.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said via Twitter that he had contacted Andrzej Duda, President of Poland, to “exchange the available information and clarify the facts”, in addition to expressing his condolences for the “death of Polish citizens by the terror of Russian missiles”.
Russian media accuse Ukraine
Russian state media are saying the missiles that allegedly hit Poland were from Ukraine and not Russia, BBC Moscow reporter Will Vernon said.
The correspondent reported that the news agency had quoted a “military expert” as saying that Russian cruise missiles “might not have reached Polish territory, however, those of Ukraine’s S-300 missile system malfunctioning , Yes”.
