The police have a radar stolen… in full control!

The life of a police officer is difficult. Even more when a radar in full control is stolen from you. This incredible story comes from Germany. Indeed, the police of Bad Hersfeld launched this week an appeal for witnesses in order to find the stolen machine. On March 23, the police were carrying out a speed check on the B27 road near Haunetal-Neukirchen according to information from Gocar.

One or more individuals then managed to steal the mobile radar without the police noticing it instantly. How is it possible? They had placed the flash on the side of the road before joining their vehicle. Hidden on the low side, they no longer had the device in their field of vision. Needless to say, they didn’t have time to catch a lot of speeders.

The thieves therefore had plenty of time to stop and steal the box before loading it into the trunk of the car. According to the police, the theft took place between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Inevitably, the clues are few. For the record, a mobile radar costs approximately… 30,000 euros according to Gocar. A hell of a sum that pushed the police to react despite the shame and discredit that it might bring them.

Determined, the city of Bad Hersfeld would even offer a nice reward for whoever finds the device.
