The police finally do not rule out the criminal trail in the Natacha de Crombrugghe case

Contrary to what was initially announced, “the police are not abandoning the criminal trail”, the parents of the young Belgian, who has been missing since January 24, told the Belga agency on Tuesday. “The police investigation into his disappearance is continuing and no leads have been ruled out”, assured Tuesday evening the parents of Natacha de Crombrugghe, in close contact with the federal prosecutor’s office.

According to the Peruvian newspaper La Republica, agents from the Arequipa Divincri Criminal Squad concluded that there was no evidence of a violent death. “But the criminal track, like any other track, is still being considered,” added the parents of the young Belgian.

After 30 days of research, the police team in charge of the investigation will be relieved. Officers on site are expected to expand their search area as soon as weather conditions allow, according to La Republica.

Natacha de Crombrugghe, 28, has been missing since January 24. She was on a trek in Peru. She had left a backpack in her hotel room in Cabanaconde, before leaving early for the Colca Canyon.
