The police are talking about an isolated incident, regarding the episode that occurred at noon on Thursday, between Maccabi Tel Aviv fans and two foreigners at the Constitution. In its report, EL.AS. it does not mention the existence of a Palestinian flag, as was initially known.

As noted in the announcement, two foreigners verbally attacked Maccabi Tel Aviv fans while also throwing some object at them. Then two of them were caught red-handed, as a result of which one foreigner was taken to the hospital.

As part of the Olympiacos-Maccabi Tel Aviv football match, fans of the visiting team arrived in Athens. The Greek Police, implementing a special plan to prevent incidents and their involvement with fans of Greek teams, led them, after relevant framing, to the Kallimarmaro Stadium and after a new check to the Karaiskakis Stadium.
An incident ensued between a supporter of the visiting team and one of the two foreigners resulting in his injury, who was taken to a hospital for first aid.
There was an immediate intervention by the police forces that prevented further incidents and two people were arrested.
A preliminary investigation is carried out by the Attica Security Directorate.
