As noted in the announcement, two foreigners verbally attacked Maccabi Tel Aviv fans while also throwing some object at them. Then two of them were caught red-handed, as a result of which one foreigner was taken to the hospital.

As part of the Olympiacos-Maccabi Tel Aviv football match, fans of the visiting team arrived in Athens. The Greek Police, implementing a special plan to prevent incidents and their involvement with fans of Greek teams, led them, following relevant framing, to the Kallimarmaro Stadium and following a new check to the Karaiskakis Stadium.
An incident ensued between a supporter of the visiting team and one of the two foreigners resulting in his injury, who was taken to a hospital for first aid.
There was an immediate intervention by the police forces that prevented further incidents and two people were arrested.
A preliminary investigation is carried out by the Attica Security Directorate.
